I have no doubt that the Federal Gov't in Canada KNEW of #BCFerries' intention of buying ferries built in China. Right out of Politics 101; they failed to get on it when they had the chance and spouted outrage well after the fact.
I can't stomach the hypocrisy at that level: criticizing money-strapped BC Ferries for dealing with THE EXACT SAME SHIPYARD that had received federal contracts for Marine Atlantic. It boggles the mind.

It's almost an official sport in British Columbia; kicking around #BCFerries. I live in a community (Sunshine Coast) dependent on the BC Ferries and I reject that criticism. The crews are unfailingly professional, efficient, and pleasant. I'm not surprised they did this rescue as fast as they did. It's a complex, expensive system, the BC Ferries, but most shots at them are unwarranted.

We just spent 5 days in the greater #Victoria area on #VancouverIsland #BritishColumbia and every bit of it was stunning. #BCferries is such a great service and amazing way to travel. There are so many #waterfalls and stunning #nature everywhere. The drive on the #YellowheadHighway was easy and gorgeous. #Canada is amazing, we are spoiled living in this country. #TravelCanada it is so worth it. Cannot wait to head #east and see the #maritimes.
