I have been thinking about things I can make to sell lately. I am thinking I might focus on 2 things: axes and chests. Axes are fun and I like making them. For chests, I can make different style wooden chests and make all of the hardware in the smithy. Blacksmithing hinges, hasps, nails, and even locks would make them cool, custom pieces. I have no idea if there's a market for either, but I guess I can't know until I try.

The steel arrived! I need to make a punch that is the right size for hatchets (max 1 hour of work) then I'll be set! I unfortunately can't do this until early March.
I want to take my time to make one to refresh my memory on the process, then go into production mode and knock out 2-4 more relatively quickly.
Vis en vieux fer faite à la main. Chaque vis doit retourner dans son propre trou.

The axe eye drift I ordered from another blacksmith finally arrived! I have the drift and some handles- now I just need some steel to make them out of. I will figure out what I need and order it soon. I'm itching to make another camp axe. After the steel arrives, I would like to plan a weekend to make one or two small camp axes.
