Does anyone need a blacksmith or think they might need blacksmith or low quantity machineing work in the future. (If i were to set up my own forge)

I am a blacksmith with expetience of 2.5 years of everyday forgeing and infrequent forgeing before that.

Located curently in southwest england

I am also capable of general machineing (lathe and drilling )
Mig and tig welding
Bronze casting

And also if required i check all the drawings prior to construction at my cuttent job for spotting errors or things to optimise and could do so for you aswell.

I am looking for

Lgbt+ autism inclusive traditional blacksmiths

Lower amount of modern techniques (more historical) and higher quality products are prefered

In uk or europe paying at minimum 10% more than minimum wage

Or

Tell me if you have any Blacksmith Jobs to complete myself in the UK for me to check how feasable my own forge would be

(I will likely not be capable of joining a new forge for about a year (and also dont expect many responses)
This is mainly to try and see if i have any good options here

Aditionaly these images posted do not include those whitch are on my current works website and therfore dont have some of my gates

Please be aware of this if you wish to hire me or are in need of services

The farm equipment recycler didn't want our disc harrow discs, but this seems like the perfect thing to build from them instead:

They're already in that flower shape with a center hole and pipe attached to it.

Putting it somewhere near the end of the overwhelming todo list!

#PhotoOfTheDay One of my railroad spike bottle openers in progress, with a twisted cube pattern. This one is still one of two bottle openers that I kept and still use regularly. Most others were given away as gifts. I should go back to doing that.

🔨🤖 Oh look, it's 2025 and some computer science oracle is still trying to convince us that mashing metal and writing are somehow related. 🚀 Apparently, is all about reheating failed attempts, much like debugging Lisp. 🔥🔥

Preparing Kebab Barg requires a proper knife. So, let's forge one! This is going to be a mighty blade constructed from both high-carbon steel and wrought iron to give it an authentic feel. Enjoy.

Listen to the sounds of a modern blacksmith shop. Enjoy the visuals and the sonic atmosphere. It's hard to convey the vibe of a blacksmith shop and here is my attempt.

In my first Tools and Process episode, I talk about heat treating - the most important process when making knives or swords! It's also the most nerve wrecking.

When making knives or swords, a lot of time is spent in front of the grinder which generates a lot of dust which not only spreads around your shop but can also go into your nostrils.
In this video, I start making a dust collector for metal dust which is more challenging than just wood dust. Follow along!

#PhotoOfTheDay is something different - one of my tidier blacksmithing creations, a table knife that started off as a piece of a very rusty spring or something, that I found on the side of a road.

New to Pattern Welding? A lot of the patterns seen from the Viking-era were made by twisting billet. I'll show you how to do that. Here is how to twist!

A few weeks ago, we went with some friends to a knifesmithing workshop under the instruction of Dave Collier at brokenhammerforge.com and I could not resist the urge to nerd. #blacksmithing #BladesInTheDark

A hand-forged knife patterned after the logo of Blades In The Dark, displayed atop the book for scale. The knife is heavy, wide, and angular with a blackened blade and an exposed, geometric pommel.
