I was trying to take a photo of a small and beautiful viper's burgloss that popped up in the garden and was photobombed by a curious Jette 😂

By the way, the four of them are in the same coop now and rub along okay together. The adult hens still bully the little ones whenever they're too close, but Cleo and Jette are feisty and curious and explore more and more. They occasionally break out some ninja moves to escape the larger bullies. 🤸🏼‍♀️ Unfortunately, they would rather sleep on top of the shelter instead of inside (where they get pecked if they are too loud and fidgety), so I still have to put them into the shelter myself each night.

Right then, plot twist! 😅 My husband got in touch with the farm where we bought our #hens last year, asking if they had any #chickens available. Turns out they did! So, meet Cleo and Jette, who've now moved in. We wanted to get two new hens of a different breed (but with similar characteristics), but seeing as we'd have had to wait another couple of months, we decided to go for the same breed again so the other two wouldn't be on their own for so long. Fingers crossed the introduction goes smoothly (we'll keep them separate for a few days so they can get used to each other).

As I was telling you earlier, I borrowed a Sony Alpha 6000 to see if I like it better than my old Sony DSC-RX100 which I never use anymore because it's so frustrating. Guess what, I don't like the Alpha 6000 any better. It feels nice, but the autofocus is as fickle as the RX-100 one and everything is blurry, even when I used a tripod. But of course you only see this later on your computer (I haven't installed any apps to transfer images because it's not my camera). 🤡
I had really hoped that the autofocus experience is a bit better with a new model, but I suppose there's no way around a specialized (macro) lens. Both cameras are great for landscapes, but when it comes to close-ups or macro, they don't work for me. (I'm aware that the problem is behind the camera)

Is there any camera brand/model you would recommend for beginners?

The only photo I really liked #sooc is this #animalPortrait of Henna. 🐔 We will get two new #hens on Saturday morning, so be prepared to see more #chicken photos soon!
