What song would you dedicate to your younger self?

Today we're going to use the daily prompt as this is a good one and an easy one for me to choose a song for. Forever Young by Rod Stewart is my song of choice today. This was also my high school graduating class theme song in 1989, which is when the song came out.

Just an overall great song that has a pretty powerful meaning about trying your best to stay young in life and enjoy it to the fullest.

33 years ago, on or around July 25th, 1989, I was in Hastings in Jonesboro Arkansas. Somehow I found out that the new Beastie Boys album was coming out. (No internet, social media or websites to notify me of new releases).

That album, Paul’s Boutique. Probably my favorite album of all time. I’ve owned it in every format available, cassette tape, CD, MP3 and vinyl. I even have a couple book that tell the story of its creation.

Now, thanks to ION, I can play the original tape I bought that day in 1989, the same way I played it then. The tape case and insert have seen better days. I also need readers to read the insert… but there is nothing like this experience.
