I'll admit I clicked through to look. I mean, I am qualified. My almost decade in #DevRel would be directly applicable. It's remote, it's reasonable work, it pays fine, it's for a company I already use every day and I'm sure would be way better insurance that my ACA plan (thanks America.)
Ultimately, I just don't want to ever again be in a situation where I have to show up at a place (even a Zoom or Hangout) at a specified time. I don't want to owe people work that I can fail to provide or otherwise disappoint. I do plenty of that with my family.
Lots of people predicted that I would unretire. That ain't gonna happen while I am still solvent. If I have a choice, I will not. I've learned that even your dream job is a job and I've lost the taste for that entirely.

I fell down the vector database rabbit hole 😁
This year Storyblok announced Strata, our vector-powered platform to make content genuinely usable in the AI era (LLM search, RAG, ...). So my DevRel brain (the Senior part of it) said: ok, learn this properly, and share the journey with a 3-part series on our dev blog!
Part 1 is live: a gentle intro to the what/why behind vector DBs, with plenty of links for deeper dives. It's the "a‑ha!" moment I wish I had on day zero.
If you're new to this or want a clean mental model, give it a read, and please tell me what's missing so Part 2 (hands‑on, code + retrieval) can be even better!
PS: these are my findings as I go, no "professor" vibes here, I'm learning out loud so don't expect perfection (yet). If you spot gaps or have resources, drop them in! Let's learn this properly together 😉

Привет, Хабр. Я Катя Куваева, DevRel C#-разработчиков и инфраструктурных команд в Контуре, а это моя первая статья. Недавно ходила исследовать российское сообщество шарпистов, чтобы понять, чем оно живёт: как инженеры обмениваются знаниями, какие инструменты выбирают для развития, и какое место во всём этом занимают специализированные сообщества. Сначала я провела 10 глубинных интервью, потом на их основе сформулировала несколько гипотез, которые нужно было проверить в количественном опросе на нескольких сотнях шарпистов.
