LinkedIn shitty emails achieve new low with "puzzle games". I never use Linkedin. I have unsubscribed from every email list. I never engage with the platform, unless a colleague sends me some post they shared. I then use cookie blockers. But now they think my prof status matches these incredibly shitty games. This so called world professional platform is the best example of enshittified user data farming.

The email was received to an address I used specifically and SOLELY to sign up for ffmpeg's trac bug tracker; however I more suspect the user that "sent" this email had their gmail account compromised.

✉️🗑️ Annoying email spam thing happening to me right now.
My non-Google email address got added to some spam Google Group(s) along with a bunch of other people (so the to/reply-to addresses are Groups alias).
Another victim's mail server is sending auto-responders to the group about incorrect addresses and now other people in the spam group who don't understand what is happening are responding to the auto-responders because it's super annoying.
The whole thing is stupid.

So I have a question for the Mastodon hivemind. A long while back, I signed up for an event through EventBrite. Went to the event and that was that. Or so I thought. Ever since then, I have received non-stop spam from them, or rather event organizers through them. I have logged into my EB account and unchecked every box, but I still get these invite emails. I'm monitoring the work inbox today. We got an email from someone at a completely different company reporting what looked like spam.
Being new, I wondered if they were a contractor or maybe using a private email (they weren't).
I've never seen such specifically targeted spam before! Usually it's "here's your invoice" or "please help me unlock my money", not "I've got spam".
(And no, it wasn't a typo. Ambulance trust not equals mobile operator)
