For the past decade software had to become very very good, regarding overall quality and user experience because we digitized our whole lives and everything had to be perfect to grow on users. Now, as everybody is trapped in digital platforms, the age of #enshitication began and #AI is probably the perfect tool for the job.

The concept of #enshitication seems to only encompass services, but to me you can also enshitify creative cultures by homogenising them so much that what you get in the end is the creative equivalent of canned spam.

Nowadays they design films purely to #hatewatch. Think about that for a second the next time a film is memed to death.

A new step in #facebook #enshitication ? At least, a new reason to leave it. For years now, it has been making money out of the media producing content without rewarding them properly and now, it is just cutting off the cord.

I'm still on it and visit my profile occasionnally, but I'm more and more considering shutting it down. For the moment, I'm mostly using it to try and convince people to come over here.

It really is a race to the bottom at this point.

@Techmeme ...combined with the #Windows #enshitication , and it really doesn't matter how 'high' the cpu number goes. We recently resurrected a $1,300 5+year old #hp #spectre #intel #i7 that gave us the good ol' #bluescreenofdeath back then to #linux and it's like having a brand new pc. When doing the same to an #acer #nitro #amd #ryzen5 the perceived 'speed' it's about the same!

@worriernun @EU_Commission sadly no. When we (the UK) left the EU initially the telecom gougers did still voluntarily offer free EU roaming but then they started to opt out to make more money off the rest of us (#enshitication).
Some small secondary providers still do offer free EU roaming, the rest you have to pay for it.
