Dorine Schoon zette in 2018 het Platform voor Freelance Musici op om structurele onderbetaling zichtbaar te maken. De besloten Facebookgroep groeide uit tot een veilige plek waar musici openlijk konden praten over geld, contracten en misstanden. Het platform bracht grote media-aandacht en maakte Fair Payment breder bespreekbaar. Hoewel machtsongelijkheid en angst blijven bestaan, ziet Schoon enige vooruitgang. Ze stopt met het platform, maar blijft als adviseur musici steunen en roept hen op hun waarde te erkennen.
