We have to ask what this #Labour government sees as the long term ambition for this nation’s SEND kids. For Reeves to say she wants them in mainstream school is great, but will they be put there to thrive or because it’s cheap? There is a spectrum of need. But surely we want all kids to reach their potential. We need equity of opportunity. That does require resources. But if you provide that today, you may have a working, independent adult tomorrow.
