Individuals who carry out economic activities in the country will be able to access tax benefits for investments in #RenewableEnergy sources, following the update of the regulatory framework approved by the Ministry of Finance and Prices (MFP), as part of the strategy for the transformation of the national #energy matrix.
With the publication of Resolution 41/2026 in the extraordinary Official Gazette, individuals who carry out economic activities, such as self-employed workers, agricultural producers, artists, and intellectuals, who are taxpayers subject to personal income tax, are exempt from paying this tax when they invest in renewable energy sources.

La Habana.- El Consejo de Defensa Nacional de Cuba, aprobó «los planes y medidas» para dar paso «al Estado de Guerra», informaron este domingo medios estatales.
El anuncio se da en medio de las tensiones con Estados Unidos tras los ataques de Washington a Venezuela que culminaron con la captura del presidente de ese país, Nicolás Maduro.
De acuerdo con la prensa oficialista, las medidas –de las que no se dieron detalles– se basan en el concepto de la Guerra de todo el pueblo.
Se trata de una estrategia impulsada en los años ochenta por el entonces presidente Fidel Castro y se basa en la movilización general de la población cubana para enfrentar una posible agresión externa.
Los medios estatales señalaron que el plan fue aprobado el sábado durante una reunión del Consejo de Defensa Nacional –órgano encargado de asumir el control del país durante desastres naturales o conflictos armados– «en cumplimiento de las actividades previstas para el Día de la Defensa» con el objetivo de «incrementar y perfeccionar el nivel de preparación y cohesión de los órganos de dirección y del personal».

Cuba, en la mira de Estados Unidos
Este fue el segundo sábado dedicado a actividades de la defensa en el país tras la operación militar estadounidense del pasado 3 de enero.
Estos ejercicios han incluido ensayos de emboscadas y entrenamientos para la instalación de minas, protección a la población y clases combinadas en áreas como sanidad militar, defensa contra armas de exterminio en masa, manejo del fusil AKM y técnicas de enmascaramiento, según reportes de la presa estatal.
En el ataque norteamericano a Caracas murieron 32 militares cubanos, cuyos restos llegaron el jueves a la isla, donde recibieron una serie de homenajes póstumos.
Dos semanas después de los ataques estadounidenses a Venezuela, el Gobierno de La Habana ha reforzado su enfrentamiento verbal con Washington. En uno de los actos de tributo a los militares fallecidos en Caracas, Díaz-Canel, afirmó que «no hay rendición ni claudicación posible» ante un posible ataque de Estados Unidos.
«Cuba no tiene que hacer ninguna concesión política ni eso jamás estará en una mesa de negociaciones para un entendimiento entre Cuba y Estados Unidos», recalcó.
Durante los actos, Díaz-Canel visitó el uniforme verde olivo de jefe del Consejo de Defensa Nacional, algo que está reservado, según la ley cubana, para estados de guerra y emergencia, o en caso de movilización general. –sn–
