En novembre, lorsque j'ai entendu pour la première fois que le statut de protection du loup risquait d'être dégradé, je n'y ai pas cru. Et pourtant ! En ce moment, en ce qui concerne la protection et le respect de la nature, j'aurais pu me douter que la pire décision était la plus probable... ! Le 3 décembre, un affaiblissement des mesures de protection a été voté au niveau européen. Le loup passe de « strictement protégé » à « protégé ». Si comme ça, un petit mot en moins n'a l'air de rien, la réalité est autre : sous prétexte d'une meilleure « flexibilité » et « adaptabilité aux réalités », c'est la porte ouverte à plus de tirs létaux, à des éclatements de meutes, à encore davantage de déséquilibres qui ne seront pas forcément pour autant profitables aux éleveurs... Une décision infondée scientifiquement. Le loup est là. Il n'est pas si grand, ni si méchant qu'ont voulu nous le faire croire les contes. Il est un élément essentiel de nos écosystèmes – comme chaque grand prédateur. Pourquoi refuser l'inéluctable ? Il nous faut apprendre à cohabiter et nous adapter aux réalités du terrain, et non tenter d'adapter le terrain à nos réalités fictives...
