Go-Ahead, in partnership with the Department for #Transport and local authorities, will invest in 45 additional zero-emission buses for operations in #Hull, #Salisbury, #Brighton & #Hove, Isle of Wight, and #Plymouth. This expansion strengthens Go-Ahead's leadership in zero-emission transport, with the largest fleet in the UK, comprising 1,500 electric buses in operation or on order. The company has received government support for 246 of these buses, some of which will be introduced soon. Customers will benefit from quieter, smoother, and more environmentally friendly journeys. CEO Matt Carney expressed pride in Go-Ahead’s commitment to zero-emission transport, while Local Transport Minister Simon Lightwood highlighted the broader benefits of cleaner, greener travel, job creation, and support for local economies.
