The trunk of a Stringy Bark gum tree fills most of the frame in this zoom view. Possums have shredded some bark at mid right, peeling an outer layer down and away. The bark is a reddish brown underneath, more gray on the outside; the surface is rough from the intertwined fibres. Blurry forest to the sides and some in front along the lower edge.

A faded seashell lies in the sand in this macro photo. It's a spiral shape with the tip pointing over our right shoulder, the tip itself has eroded away revealing a nacre pattern. The pattern on the shell is comporised of a zebra-like, zigzagging stripe arrangement, alternating darker brown to pale off white.

A bright red gum leaf lays on the sand, surrounded by pieces of bark, seaweed and shells, all dull by comparison to the vivid leaf.

A dried seaweed structure lays on it's side away from camera, it's hollow base part where the stem snapped, part filled with sand. Short brown roots radiate outwards. Soft focus with macro tubes and this subject.

A white, downy feather fills the width of the frame, lying on it's side. The top edge filaments are neatly separated, highlighting the down along their length. Decaying leaves and seaweed debris on the ground beneath, contrasting the whiteness of the feather.
