here's a fun trick: I arranged these shapes I want to cut such that, after tracing the edges with knifebot, I can slice the page with a regular straight line cutter, and be left with a 9x6" area suitable for a catalog envelope.

hey WAIT A MINUTE. knifebot can knife things besides stickers! I can use this to automate the hard part of the origami pyramids!

I redesigned the pattern so that the cuts are harder but the folds are easier, because knifebot is going to do the cutting for me!

So I don't forget next time: the knife offset seems to be about x+5, y+19, but just to make sure, next page I design will have a square alignment marker in the middle to do a 'test cut' before I cut the rest of the sheet.
