Sarawak Metro informed that Stage 2 of the Prototype Autonomous Rapid Transit (ART) Vehicle Proof-of-Concept () Exercise at Kuching-Samarahan Expressway is officially underway.

A notice was also attached for people to refer to for the traffic flow and flagmen locations throughout the POC period.

The ART will run from 20 November to 15 December, 5am to 8pm.

On 16 November, Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas activated the remaining smart traffic light intersections along the Kuching-Samarahan Expressway.

He also inspected the dedicated lane for the Autonomous Rapid Transit (ART), proving ground for the ART throughout the POC exercise scheduled to start next week.

The smart traffic light will ensure transit priority be given to ART at intersections.

Ibraco Berhad and China Railway Group Limited have secured a construction project valued at RM568.61 million for infrastructure works along the Blue Line-Package 1 Rembus to Stutong.

This is part of the Autonomous Rapid Transit (ART) network project under the Kuching Urban Transportation System (KUTS).

The Letter of Acceptance was officially accepted on Nov 10.
