As a #European you should read up on the #barons and the #aristocracy. Note, that whereas some aristocrats were appointed by royalty, others were made noble because they were so "successful" - i.e they were barons sanctioned by the crown.

The barons who hated the crown? Those were the #liberalists. In essence, people like to forget that part of European history because it doesn't suit their ideology or agenda.

Funnily enough, the monarchy of Norway is largely harmless, even wholesome AND self sustainable, while the liberal and conservative parties of #Norway pose an existential threat to economic and political liberty.

#Liberalism, whether it's slightly to the right or all the way to the right (because liberalism is right-wing) will always rely on FUD and group paranoia, similar to it's parent: nationalism.

Yes, I am saying that liberalism is still inherently #nationalistic and that it's a problem. Liberalists will always go against #socialism, #communism and #anarchism because they are forms of politics that try to instill power to the people.
