Been having a lot of fun the past couple of weeks #m17 #m17_project #openrtx #opnrtx #hamradio #hamr
#introductions got my ham ticket back in 1991 as one of the first no code techs.. stepped out of hobby in 1995, came back in 2021. Upgraded to general and then extra. Got experience in HF, enjoy #POTA and #FT8. Discovered digital voice modes. Interested in #M17_Project and tinkering with local hams on various things. My day job is a software engineer.
Started the morning playing with #sdrangel sending SMS and voice using #m17_project protocol. Was using HackRF and PlutoSDR hardware. Should of made screenshots. Perhaps later. After some errands finally got some time behind a soldering iron to finish soldering one of my Module 17 boards. Finished SMD work, still have a couple through hole components, and need to flash #openrtx firmware to device. Been a fun #hamradio hardware and software day. #sdr
@vk3jed @vk6flab yup, very friendly bunch.
And they like the idea of #M17_Project so it's a plus *wink*

Thanks for the warm welcome. I am Bonnie - N1IIM... I have been a ham operator for roughly give or take 30+ years and just recently took the plunge and upgraded from Tech to Extra. As hobbies go I enjoy many crafts including but not limited to machine embroidery, and vinyl work... and of course Ham Radio. My primary focus(s) these days with Ham Radio is #M17_Project and #ARES.
