Das Album #TheBestYearOfOurLives war 1975 das erfolgreichste von #steveharleyandcockneyrebel. Zwar brachte die Band auch getrennt voneinander ein paar Platten heraus, aber die von #steveharley und #AlanParsons produzierte Scheibe mit der Nummer-1-Single #MakeMeSmile sollte (vor allem in UK) ihre beste bleiben.
Zu spätem Ruhm kam das Lied dann 2018 als Werbesong für Viagra und dann 2021 für den 7er BMW.
Vor ziemlich genau einem Jahr starb Steve Harley mit 73.

Part of Pankow's "#BalletForAGirlInBuchannon" #songCycle/suite, it was recorded for their second album Chicago, also called Chicago II (1970). #TerryKath sings the lead vocal, and #WalterParazaider performs the memorable flute solo. The song was initially released as the B-side to "#MakeMeSmile" in March 1970.
