Thoughts Words Action is thrilled to premiere the brand new video for “Promises” by Barcelona punk rock band Minor Planets. The track is taken from their latest cassette and digital EP, released through Engineer Records, Slow Down Records, and Deal With Hate Records.

“Promises” showcases the band’s signature blend of melodic hooks and emotionally charged punk rock energy, continuing the powerful trajectory they set with their 2023 release Neverending Days. Featuring members of Flamsteed, Àncora, and Torches, Minor Planets once again prove their ability to craft deeply compelling, sonically rich music that resonates far beyond the local scene.

As one avenue to Planet 9 closes so another one could open, this latest object will help some theories while quash others, such is the beauty of Science.

And do not anthropomorphise Pluto, it's just a minor planet, not a sad puppy being demoted.

Observations made during a stellar occultation by the 1.9-meter telescope at the South African Astronomical Observatory (SAAO) have revealed evolving material orbiting around the enigmatic Centaur (2060) Chiron.

The oldest operational telescope found at the SAAO’s Sutherland facilities, the 1.9m telescope was built by Grubb Parsons in 1938-48 for the Radcliffe Observatory in Pretoria. It was bought by the South African government in 1974 and transported to the Karoo, where it continues functioning to this day.

A couple of years ago I made a little #webApp to view the #orbits of most known #planets, #minorPlanets, #asteroids and #comets in our #solarSystem (about 950,000 of them at that time)

You can search by name, set the camera, zoom, pan, and go forwards and backwards in time. It should work on recent phones & tablets.

I haven't updated the data since I made it and many orbits will have drifted since then, so I wouldn't recommend using it to plan any trips to Mars
