MuOS has received a substantial update that allows for something I've been wanting for a while...the ability to create custom folders inside the GUI.

Only problem is that I'd have to re-install the entire thing and I'm not sure I trust myself to not fuck it up...

I just decided to design my own theme for #muOS for my #Anbernic RG35XXSP based on my existing theme for my #MiyooMiniPlus of course using the #TokyoNight color scheme

Wow. Switching from #Knulli to #MuOS dropped the boot time on my RG35xx H from 51 seconds to 16 seconds.

That’s a huge improvement and really fixes one of my major frustrations with it.

@Lewie_Kong yep. A screen filter since the aspect ratio of the GBA is 3:2 it compensates since this screen is 4:3, it comes by default in #MuOS

@robyn @gnomon @tim I'm interested in the #TrimUI Smart Pro. It's supported by so many different firmwares; #batocera #arkos #minUI #muOS etc.

Have you tried one?

I think the safest device for this purpose is the #Anbernic #RG35xx; it can play a ton of games, has wifi for achievements, and can be had for as little as $50. They are common and have a lot of support from OSes like #minUI #MuOS #ArkOS and #knulli. The people I want to gift them to wouldn't appreciate Gamecube/Dreamcast support much anyway.

@mdmrn I just heard that #MuOS now supports the 40xxh, I kinda want one too!

I'm thinking about getting #muOS again.

I really don't mind the stock #Anbernic firmware but it won't launch half of my PS1 games despite them working fine when loading directly through Retroarch.

I did, however, find a 128GB microSD card for my roms and save files so messing around with the firmware should be much easier now!

Been enjoying my #RG40XXH.

Initially sleep mode wasn't working so I decided to update the firmware, which was a pain. The handheld came with a 64GB SD card but #Anbernic's firmware update is a 16GB ISO, so I had to create a new partition after flashing so I could put roms back on it.

It would've been a lot easier if I had an extra SD card, but I figured it out, and now sleep mode works great!

I considered installing #muOS instead of stock firmware but I didn't want to pay for early access.

The white-lavender RG28XX with the muXP skin. Which is, as the name indicates, a skin that looks a LOT like Windows XP. Inclusive of the green start menu button, blue task bar, and the iconic grass and sky wallpaper.

Oh, and Internet Explorer. 😂

The top three menu items are a pixel art Poke Center, a Poke Mart, and a house from the Kanto region. The other menu items are also Pokemon-themed, like a Snorlax for the power menu.

Just staring down the road with #MuOs on an Anbernic RG35xx H. It is not like I really needed another project, but I did want another OS that I felt a bit more comfortable with using. Been a #retropi user for a while, but now I think this should be what I had been hoping back on the pi2, pi3, and even the 4. All in one package with decent N64 playback. Now I just want a bit bigger screen… oh well, it can’t be perfect!

Getting #AM2R running on my #Anbernic #RG35XXSP feels like playing an unreleased #GBA #Metroid entry and it's awesome.

Using #MuOS and #PortMaster of course.
