Wie es so schön hieß, der #Kommunismus verteufelte die #Faschisten genauso wie die #Demokraten weil sie zum teil die #Marktwirtschaft und #Privateigentum / #Oligarchies tolerieren.

Treffen sich zwei #Oligarchies gibt's geteiltes Land, waren früher auch mal mehr,... Naja offensichtlich hat keiner Geld und Mut mehr um das alte Spiel zu unterbrechen.

It's quite interesting that some "one party" #oligarchies (the Peoples Republic of China for example), were able to foresee the future and set due course much earlier than some western pluralistic systems (or "two party" oligarchies like the "of the people for the people" republic of the USA). China has been investing intensely in renewable energy for the past two decades, while the US has been opening new oil fields, under both of its "two party" administrations.
So, don't you "I told you so" about #climateChange. The problem is not how to persuade the average Joe or the Trump voter about #climateCrisis being real; that time has past. The real problem has always been how to create and maintain sensible political systems that work for the benefit of the many against the corrupting power of the few ('oligoi' in Greek, hence 'oligarchy').
The untouchable #oligarchies have always been THE problem. Try doing something about THAT, if you can.
There should be more talk about the unfitness of the GOPs nominee for #President. A consummate liar who would welcome #oligarchies and create a crime syndicate benefiting only those who toe the line. P.S. He's also #OLD
@00Aaron There is truly a big difference between market and capitalism. And also huge difference between pro-market and pro-business agendas.
The enmeshing of all of these separate vectors together is the root of the confusion.
A market economy can be a less-damaging theater for people with a Nietzschean will to power to pursue their edge than politics. But that all falls apart if they’re allowed to become oligarchs.
