Chickenposting. The Black metal goth boi is (Leonardo da) Vinci, an #ayamcemani x #silkie cross, one of 5 chicks we raised in 2018.

Ayam Cemanis are originally from Java and highly pigmented, with jet black feathers, beak, and skin.

Their feathers are also #iridescent with a metallic green and purple sheen, like starlings/grackles.

🐓So we got pet chickens in the community garden where I’m volunteering as a custodian (it’s right next to my house). Chickens have been here for only 3 days but with all the treats & offerings (mostly mealworms) they are now my bffs & even allow scritches!
They also follow me around the volleyer & peck my crocks & fingers. If I sit down they start to dig holes around me.
Am I happy? I’m friggin ecstatic!!! #chickens #petchicken
