I've started building a chicken coop/run.
Am converting a damaged water tank into the coop and have just moved it into place. Nice and shaded under the mulberry tree.
I'm now waiting for the landscape supplier to reopen after the holidays so I continue work.

Scottish oysters could be under threat from the poo of nearly half a million chickens, seafood producers have claimed.
They’re worried that excrement from proposed giant poultry farms will cause pollution in Loch Ryan, near Stranraer.
The plans have been branded “madness” by green campaigners and “worrying” by Loch Ryan Oyster Fishery.
An industrial poultry unit housing 192,000 egg-laying birds is already operating in the North Rhins area. Dumfries and Galloway council has been notified of plans for two more farms, each with capacity for 128,000 chickens, within three miles.

There naughty chickens won’t stay in their run. This evening they decided to join our wild deer for a St. Stephen’s Day supper.

UK supermarkets turn to imported turkeys as avian flu hits supply.

Several of the UK’s big supermarkets have been forced to source turkeys from elsewhere in Europe to keep shelves stocked this Christmas, after avian flu curtailed UK production.

Asda, Lidl and Morrisons understood to be stocking imported branded turkeys to meet Christmas demand.
