August, I’ve just been informed, is #AustralianPoetryMonth so today I’m sharing a poem about the famous Humpty Doo #poltergeist of 1998 from my collection Noisesome Ghosts (Blart Books, 2018). The Northern Territory Humpty Doo #polt was particularly violent and showed itself willing to communicate in different media, including using Scrabble tiles and small shells to spell out words. It threw knives, bottles, broken glass and even bullets. The case was investigated by numerous individuals and organisations, including by the then Chief of Staff of the Northern Territory News, Nikki Voss: a friend of mine from our days at the Australian National University in Canberra #experimentalpoetry #paranormal @poetry @auslit
