Today has been something of a wash out pyjama day so I decided to try making Brussels sprouts out of Fimo. Two full size, and a few in one twelfth scale. #DollsHouse #fimo #polymerclay

The real full size sprout on a cream tile with a little pile of sprouts made of Fimo in one twelfth size in from of it. A stray Fimo leaf is in the right corner.

Work in progress with a cane of Fimo brussels sprouts mix then from the back if the photos to the front: a real sprout; a Fimo full size sprout without leaves; a Fimo full-size sprout with leaves and the tiny baked sprout on one twelfth size ready for leaves. They sit on a cream tile with clay modelling tools lying around.

Hubby and I exchanged gifts last night. The best gift he got me was this necklace from a local artist. She works in polymer clay and this is a really bad photo of the piece. I had bought Taco earrings from her earlier this year but didn't have a necklace to go with them. I told hubby that I loved her work but didn't have a matching necklace, like nachos or enchiladas. Well they delivered! A Taco plate with nachos, salsa, and avocado! The plate is about an inch in diameter. I'm so thrilled with this piece!!

I also made a fairy door.

There are a few things I'd do differently next time, but overall I am super pleased with it!

I am holding a very tiny polymer clay house, maybe 2 inches tall and an inch wide. It has tan walls, a dark wooden roof that is covered in green moss. And then a small window in a shiny copper. It is sitting on a small piece of speckled grey clay.

Was looking through old photos and saw these. It's a doll face I made. And now I really want to make a full doll out of it.

Holding a polymer clay head, ca. 8cm high. It's light green with some swirls of lighter and darker shades. Neutral expression, I'd say. Forehead is covered in a repeating pattern of little... Ears? Or rolled up leaves? They spread to the side, some even down to the chin. It's like leaves overgrowing the head or mushrooms. They're of the same clay, so they must be part of the organism.

A silicone mat with a scatter of two types of heart shaped buttons, one creamy pink with cherry blossoms and the other more crystalline pink with gentle marbling and veins of dark pink.

finally baked my first polymer clay pieces in a long time. these were test pieces as I was trying a new method. they're rough around the edges (literally) and I'm thinking about painting them. making the horned heart red, and not sure about the "gummy bears". got that cutter on Etsy and I'm not sure if I like it...
