The manual for my #furman #powerconditioner (s) says: "The EXTREME VOLTAGE (EVS) LED ... is normally off,
but illuminates red when ... the PS-8RE III encounters a line voltage above the EVS threshold (275 VAC) ... the SMP will disconnect the power from the rear panel outlets and the EVS LED will activate."
How is this possible when the #usp is supposed to do "Automatic Voltage Regulation"? 🤔

The manual for my 1000VA BV1000I-MST #ups from #apc advises to connect devices directly to the unit. However, I have only connected my two PS-8RE III #furman #powerconditioner(s) to it, meaning that the devices themselves are connected to the power conditioners and not to the UPS. I can't think of any reason why this could be a problem. Am I missing something?

1/2: Today I booted up my studio #linuxaudio #computer for the first time since we moved to Thailand. 🫣 That's over 6 months now. 😳 I was using my #laptop in the meantime and wow, the PC looks totally outdated now. 😝 Will take some time to bring it up to speed. Already spent a good hour resolving #packageconflicts while trying to #update it before eventually my #powerconditioner shut down unexpectedly because of "extreme voltage". 🤔 Need to look that up. #newchallenges #linux #musicproduction
