PT Barnum was right!
Was at someones house last night and noticed what looked like twisted copper wire around their meter while I pushed their soffit back into place.
Had to asked what it was figuring it was some scam that would supposedly lower their electric bill.
I was partially right . It's a Smart meter Tensor ring. It "resonates at 144 MHZ for EMF filtering/protection throughout the home. As well as lowing power bills. Made to the Sacred/Royal Egyptian Cubit. ( whatever the heck that is ).
Lady seems to think adding it as well as changing all her window screens to copper from fiberglass and her outside doors to metal improved her sleep as well as health And her two cats are much calmer now .
She is sold on the tech. Showed me the braided metal earthing sleeves for her power cords . Had to ask her what about the wiring in the walls. She did not think about that. Wonder if they sell Special wallpaper to shield from EMF too?

‘Capsicum paradox’
Unless a customer did complex maths on the spot, they wouldn’t know if they were being “ripped off” by the “per each” price, the analysis found.
In the most striking example, which the analyst called the “capsicum paradox”, Woolworths charged 51% more for green capsicums when priced individually compared with when they were priced by weight.
Most shoppers wouldn’t realise they were paying nearly $15/kg for a vegetable they could get for $9.90/kg on the shelf, the analyst said.
The green capsicums cost $9.90/kg in store and $2.48 each online.
Supermarkets doing it for themselves.
Nothing changes.
It's cheaper to send a letter to an address in Ireland *from Germany* than from *inside* Ireland.
In Ireland, a national stamp costs €1.85. In Germany, an international stamp is €1.25!
(Sending a letter _within Germany_ is €0.95. From Ireland to Germany is €3.50!)
(Using the new, post 1st Feb Irish postal rates)

They rip you off -that is what they do. Their nature and their business model. Please find local venue and local musicians, you will have e better time, and you can probably afford a drink and a meal before.
Was looking at some small technology things today, and checking prices at #amazon
How did I miss them putting up "Prime Prices" as the thing one sees when looking, only to see the higher price lower in the listing? I hate to ask, but when did this happen?
I jettisoned Prime about the same time I left Twitter, but this kind of thing is just infuriating.

We used to think the future of TV was all about curated, subscription-only libraries. Now the story is shifting: as prices for Netflix, Disney+ and others climb, sometimes doubling since launch, viewers are rediscovering free, ad-supported streaming as a practical alternative. It's like it's the 80's all over again! Services like The Roku Channel and Tubi are becoming destinations offering movies, shows and even live channels without a monthly fee. That doesn’t just save money, it simplifies choice when the premium stack becomes increasingly tangled and expensive. 🫰 This isn’t about abandoning quality; it’s about value. As we balance our entertainment budgets, free streaming services may reshape how we think about content economics, and force traditional players to rethink price and packaging.
TL;DR
🧠 premium streaming prices keep climbing
⚡ free, ad-supported content is gaining traction
🎓 viewers prioritize simplicity and value
🔍 the entertainment landscape is evolving

"... as the NHS heads into yet another winter crisis, we’re putting this on the record: a giant public invoice for the £3.4 billion GSK has pocketed - signed by hundreds of thousands of people - delivered straight to their headquarters. Just imagine this bill, covered in our names, right on their doorstep.
This tactic only works if we show massive public backing. So will you add your name to the invoice we’ll hand-deliver to GSK?"
