In 2021, I received a message from the manager of the metal band Gojira asking if I was interested in creating a poster for their upcoming French tour. Obviously, I said yes and started working, sending sketches, but never heard back until the day I saw the tour was canceled due to COVID. Since then, nothing, but I still have this drawing, inspired by the song "Amazonia."

The dancer is created with the scratchboard technique. The boards I made mysel by layering different color coats of paint on top of eachother. Usually I would stick to a spectrum between 2 colors rather than the entire rainbow as I had done in this one. turns out it's much harder to work with multiple colors rather than a spectrum of 2

The basis of this exhibition project was the creation of a monumental drawing, almost 8 meters by 1.2 meters, using all the scraping techniques I've developed and discovered over the years. This summer I was able to work in a studio with enough space to spread out the entire roll and work comfortably. The idea was to move away from the meticulous gestures of my usual drawings and work in a more spontaneous and physical way, using broad strokes.
