Worth repeating: Yesterday I attended a talk led by a speaker from the Council to Advance Hunting and the Shooting Sports. She shared that new gun owners are likely to be minority, women, LGBT(etc), democrat, or young. Most likely a combination.
Imagine the shock RWNJs will have, when folks start shooting back.

When I was a girl, my mother taught me that if a man got handsy in a public space, to say "keep your hands to yourself!" loudly enough to attract public attention.
Queen Camilla's mother taught her to take off her shoe and clobber the man with it.
(To be fair to my mother, young Miss Shand was much more likely to be wearing shoes than I was. My mother also taught me how to burst an attacker's spleen, but that might be considered disproportionate, being potentially fatal.)
It always helps to have a plan. Parents, equip your kids with the tools you hope they'll never need. And shoes, as climatically appropriate.
