I'm just going to say it. I wish all my servers had IPMI. It's just SO NICE to be able to restart and maintain a server remotely - and even throw it an ISO to boot from in an emergency!

Nowhere NEAR finished, but I’m taking tomorrow off from this task to spend the day riding with a friend

So… Progress on the new rack! It replaces the old one we had, which was 15U and not large enough.

(And yes, I need to buy some new patch cables that are the right length…).

To do: put the remaining @show servers in place, and our sides and doors on! (Maybe)

#Day6.5++: Did some more electrical wiring for the house in the last few days. Today I put some sockets and cable ducts into the #ServerRoom. Separate ones for network cables, too. So #HomeLab will be on new power lines tomorrow. 🙂
