Holy shit the Flesh Lip is hard in #SilentHill2 remake, way harder than the original (much more interesting fight too). Playing on Hard, it ate almost all of my ammo total and a few health items too

Wow, #silentHill2 Nurses are HARD on hard combat difficulty. Like use a gun or take MULTIPLE hits, brutal. I like it! Very effective difficulty IMO, has that "you WILL be harmed" vibe of the original but not an action game
Each encounter feels tense and I can feel the relief when they're over. Had someone compare it to modern resi games, can't agree, not beyond "it controls well" I suppose
#SilentHill2 remake's difficulty has been near-perfect so far (easier if you master the dodge, I'm sure)
I constantly have 0-2 health items, just like a first playthrough of the original. Getting lost, there's real puzzles.
There's no tank controls or forced camera angles, but that's about it, it's closer to the spirit of the original than I'd have expected.

So, apparently the Silent Hill 2 Remake has been given to reviewers and they are claiming it to be as faithful as the Resident Evil remakes, which excites me. This will be a huge boon to Bloober Team's reputation and softens our disappointment in Konami a little bit. Konami still sucks for the most part, but they made a good decision choosing Bloober Team to do the remake.
Can't wait to watch a full playthrough.

I think the Silent Hill 2 Remake is looking good, much better than I expected. You are always going to have naysayers in this clusterfuck of a fandom. My only criticisms are the loss of dynamic camera angles, the monsters looking more cartoony than I'd like, and the pick-up sound not being as loud. The creators did imply that the HUD will be customizable. I probably won't be able to play it since I can't rationalize purchasing a PS5 or upgrading my PC, but it's definitely coming together.
As for the crusty-dicked chuds saying the remake is "woke" - wash your ass and quit taking out your mommy issues on fictional women.
