"I find your fences offensive." I know why the fences have to be there for the time being (the ginormus work of renovating and reconstructing Slussen (the Sluice)), but I really, really look forward to when they'll be taken away and we get our stunning view back uninterrupted.

Went past Slussen (the Sluice) in Stockholm yesterday evening. Slussen is lake Mälarens outflow into Saltsjön. This very picture is perhaps not the most stunningly beautiful view of Stockholm, but I find it interesting to follow the reconstruction work that is currently being done. It's been going on for years and won't be completely finished until another few years (2028 I think).

Since my first visit to #Stockholm in 2013, I remember that #Slussen has been under major construction work. Today, they even have a floating bus waiting area! #WrigglingIntoWinter

The #Swedes are even more backward with regards to traffic planning than the car-mad #Germans. They just finished #Slussen bridge for cars going right through the center of Stockholm. The North of Göteborg will one big traffic junction with square kilometers of land inaccessible to pedestrians or cyclists. Close to the center they are building roads and junstions on three levels on top of each other.
