On this day in I-don't-know-exactly-what-year regrettable Christmas card photos.

There's a chance I'm distantly related to these people, but I inherited neither the horizontality of brow nor the ability to levitate while in front of Christmas trees.

A photo included in a family christmas card, probably from the 1980s. A young blonde overexposed man in a suit coat and dress hshirt stands at left, in front of a large uncovered window that's reflecting the flash from the camera, and a decorated christmas tree adorned with tinsel and lights that, given the room lighting and the flash, can't be definitely said to be lit or not. Superimposed in front of the tree is a pasted-in image of a young woman in a red dress with very large buttons. She was originally photographed in a seated position and further from the camera than the young man, so she appears peculiarly smaller, as if in the background. Her position has been elevated to put her higher up in the frame at perhaps the height she would be if standing, creating the impression that she's floating in midair from a seated position. Surrounding her is the fringe of background from whatever scene she was originally photographed in, with a hard border where she's superimposed on the second photograph.

This is a single re-shot print, not a superimposed negative.
