Shout out to Fralin pickups! The wired pickguard I shared a bit ago transformed my mid-70s Strat from sentimental favorite, kept around for nostalgia, into my current #1 electric.

Not a bad sound on it, and feels like infinite nuance across the sonic range from P90 to tele.

For gear nerds, build details:
• neck = steel pole 43 (P90-ish)
• middle = blues special
• bridge = blues special with a baseplate (tele-ish)
• vol, tone, blend wiring
