I used to live in #Stromness; great to see the X1 commuter bus enter the Seat61 hall of fame.
Things you might mention:
• the no.7 bus does a fantastic tour of West Mainland, linking Stromness and Kirkwall via a properly scenic route, if the windows aren't all misted up.
• southbound from #Orkney, the Aberdeen boat connects easily with LNER's 0952 London train. You can stay on ship after arrival for a leisurely breakfast. Even the 0752 is usually safe.

Stromness Museum has received two grants from AIM to work with the conservator Hana Bristow to rehouse and preserve their seaweed collection, part of which is now on display.

Had a lovely week in Orkney with @GrahamCampbell to celebrate our 10th anniversary! We met in Orkney a little over 10 years ago - back then we camped in this spot next to the Hoy Sound, but I'm glad to have stayed somewhere more windproof this time around 🥰
