I posted this over a year ago, but it deserves a repost with the increased silent support for ongoing genocides worldwide from big disability rights organizations who receive substantial funding from weapons manufacturers. So fucking ironic, ODDS (Oregon office of Developmental Disability Services), held a large unmasked event, the keynote speaker presented about Disability Justice. This organization “supports” disabled children who have chronic, complex, medical conditions. Yet refuses to provide the most basic access needs and Covid precautions. After this super spreader event, case managers likely did inhome visits, as they refuse to provide remote appointments. #structuralableism #ableism #covid #disabled
Had a shitty meeting with my child’s school #slp #sped director, and teacher about #neurodiverse affirming care, and why their constant questioning during remote sessions to try to force AAC usage is BS.
