@essjayjay @JimmyB @JeniParsons I looked at the webpage for girlguiding.org.uk this morning. Took several screenshots; but I think these two are the most important today.
People can use the dropdown menu to contact them and register their dismay, disgust, distress, unease. The policy of banning trans children goes against so much in the Girl Guides code. It should be called out by as many as possible.
I understand #TERF have also got at the WI, with similar result.

@Pamela1960 The #EHRC is not just horribly #transphobic. It is also utterly #clueless.

Any checks based on visual and/or aural cues of gender nonconformity will catch many more #cis people than #trans people. Plenty of people warned of that, but the #TERF-controlled EHRC wouldn't listen.

No wonder even #BridgetPhillipson is running for cover.

Yesterday, #UK Equalities Minister #BridgetPhillipson issued a sharp public rebuke to #EHRC chair #KrisherFalkner's aggression. https://www.theguardian.com/society/2025/nov/04/bridget-phillipson-public-debate-ehrc-gender-recognition

It seems that govt-EHRC relations have almost broken down. I don't want to read too much into this. I believe that the #Starmer crew still intends to sacrifice #trans people to the rightwing lynch mobs.

But there is now some small hope that #Phillipson may draw back slightly from the most exteremist #TERF demands. But this may just be optics 🤔
