"A South Carolina research facility's secretive experiments on monkeys, involving dangerous pathogens like the #Zika virus, have come to light under recent scrutiny of the lab's practices after 43 monkeys escaped earlier this year, according to a report.
"Animal rights groups and former employees have raised concerns about animal welfare and safety standards at the lab, describing unsanitary conditions and unqualified staff. Documents from the lab detail repeated incidents of monkeys escaping their cages, and a whistleblower alleged that cockroaches and rodents infiltrated areas housing infected primates."

mi primera peli en VO fue #TwelveMonkeys en 1996, teníamos a “las inglesas” (unas chicas de un cole inglés con el que hacíamos intercambio en mi instituto, ellas venían 2 semanas en marzo y nosotras íbamos en junio, ellas estudiaban ES y se supone que venían a practicar pero sabían muy poco y acabábamos practicando EN aquí y allí, win para nosotras 🤣) y buscamos plan de cine para ellas, yo ni siquiera sabía que se podían ver las pelis sin doblar… mind blown 🤯

There's a certain amount of cognitive dissonance in the #environmental movement between believing that humans are making the planet uninhabitable (for humans) and also wanting to change the trajectory so that humans can survive. Life will be just fine long after there are no humans on Earth. So as an environmentalist, are you for or against human extinction? The anti-human mindset can only exist if you feel that humans are seperate from other life: they are not. Else #twelvemonkeys
