Bountysource stopped paying out recently, so we've set up a new system.

I've now been waiting over 3 months for a #Bountysource cash-out request over $100. Their support has been ghosting me for two months, this is getting a bit ridiculous. Anyone else with similar experiences, any ideas? It's probably not worth lawyering up over that amount... 🙄
Irgendwie verstehe ich das bei #bountysource nicht. Warum muss ich da einen Account erstellen um etwas zu unterstützen? Das ist so, als würde ich einem Penner auf der Straße ein paar Groschen in den Kaffeebecher schmeißen und der sagt mir, dass er das Geld nur nimmt, wenn ich in sein Freundebuch schreibe. Anyone know of any GOOD platforms to handle monetary #OpenSource bounties for bugfixes/features (not necessarily security related). I can only find shady and weird companies/services. Something like #Bountysource
but w/o any crypto involvement.
I wish #github had this feature builtin. GitHub sponsors is similar, but not the same. I want to be able to set up bounties attached to specific tickets/bugs/features.
We have increased our bounties for the following two issues at Bountysource to $125 and $100. You can either resolve the issue and claim the reward or help increase the value.

#Mozilla #Thunderbird78 is excellent, but porting the #AddOns to the new #AddOn-system of #Thunderbird 78+ requires massive effort.
The excellent #extension #XNote++ allows persistent notes (#PostIts, yellow sticky notes) on single emails. The developer can't do the port and asks for support on #Bountysource to encourage someone to do the porting:

On nous a demandé si nous /pouvions rapidement mettre en place de nouvelles fonctionnalités dans #Liberapay afin qu'il puisse remplacer #Bountysource, qui a fait des choses louches. Nous ne pouvons pas et nous ne voulons pas. Encourager les gens à payer pour un problème spécifique à résoudre est problématique, cela crée de mauvaises incitations au lieu de fournir un financement stable pour la bonne maintenance et le bon développement d'un projet.
