PSA for those with #Dyson #V11 to #V15 vacuums.

The 'top seal" design is flawed, as it uses breakable plastic clips to secure the retaining ring holding the red rubber seal.

This design eventually fails when the clips start breaking off due to the stress experienced when sliding the seal past the black rubber skirt.

Fortunately, an upgraded version is available featuring more durable metal screws instead of plastic clips.

Two clips had already broken (bottom, and bottom right). Now just looking at it again, a third clip also just broke (top-left).

This is what it looks like when the top-seal is fully assembled, if the clips underneath the retaining ring would just stop breaking.

The red-rubber ring slides down past the black skirt in order to remove the dust-bin.

This is A LOT of recurring stress on the tight red-ring, which they didn't design for, for such an expensive vacuum.
