For #MeerMittwoch, a view of Surfers Beach in Half Moon Bay, California.

#SeaWednesday #WavyWednesday

Ten or so surfers (or maybe some are paddle boarders) in the ocean, even though the waves are small. A couple people building a sand castle or some such on the beach. Five blue surfboards or paddle boards lie on the beach. It’s a gray day.

Mindful Moment

[Female Voice] Relax. You're quite safe here…
[Max Headroom] Am I dreaming? No. Where am I? In bed? Well, what am I doing?

So I’m on my way to London to do something new. This afternoon I’m presenting some of my research on the potential socioeconomic benefits of ocean energy to the UK economy to a group of MPs at Westminster.

A laptop on a train table, with the opening slide of a presentation. There is a picture of a report and the title:

What is the value of innovative offshore
renewable energy deployment to the
UK economy?

A view of the Northumbrian coast for (not very) #wavyWednesday

View of the calm sea on a cloudy day, in the foreground grass, with a rocky headland to the right.

I’m not saying this wave is throwing up an image of a bunny in the spray, but I’m not NOT saying that, either!
#WavyWednesday

Green ocean water, and a wave crashing among dark brown rocks sticking up out of the water. We see a light green curl of wave on one side and churning white water splashes thrown up all across the image and a little against the rocks.
The lighting is a little low, suggesting an overcast day.
The biggest white splash of water above the wave has protrusions and lighter and darker sections, which can suggest shapes of other things, like clouds are known to do.
