#WaterWednesday. For some reason, the meltwater on the pond ice has formed a little river.

Theories: 1) The ice buckled down last week while freezing and expanding; 2) The ice fractured on a line and water from below is seeping through.

A frozen pond. The ice has a gray, slushy surface after 2 warm days. Parallel to the pond bank there is a narrow strip of water on top of the ice. The water reflects the blue sky and the willows on the far side.

I tumbled down another rabbit hole in my hard drive yesterday, so you'll have to endure even more gloriously low-quality photos in the future. 😂

A closeup of a massive waterfall. The water and shadows a deep blue colour due to the strong shadows cast across the scene. The water trickles down hundreds of small sharper rocks, with many of these rocks formed so they point upwards, splitting the water jn multiple thin threads of water. The exposure is long so the water paths as it weaves between these sharp rocks is clear. The rocks also form a circular shape with a bowl like shape in the middle. Its what made me think of a crown and gave the image its name.

Sicht auf die Küste von Schleswig-Holstein, gesehen vom Ufer der Elbmündung (Cuxhaven, Niedersachsen).

Das obere Viertel des Bildes nimmt der Himmel ein. Es ist ein schöner Tag, am blauen Himmel sind verstreut einige weiße Wolken. Der Wind ist recht frisch (Beaufort 5 bis 6), einige Wellen haben kleine weiße Schaumkronen.

Die unteren drei Viertel des Bildes zeigen die Elbmündung, hier ungefähr 25 km breit.

Der Horizont ist dicht bedeckt mit Windkrafträdern, die an der gesamten Küste von Schleswig-Holstein stehen. Zu sehen sind ungefähr 80 weiße Windkraftanlagen.

Auf der Elbe sind einiger Entfernung drei Seetonnen zu sehen, die das Fahrwasser der Elbe anzeigen (von links): Die rote Backbordtonne (entfernt, auf der Schleswig-Hosteinischen Seite), eine gelbe Untiefentonne (nahe der roten Tonne) und am rechten Bildrand die grüne Steuerbordtonne (nahe, auf der Niedersächsischen Seite).
