A view from St Paul's Rock at sunrise over a misty Whangaroa Harbour toward the horizon where the inlet merges with the Pacific Ocean.

#kayaking in #Whangaroa Harbour. Excellent day, interesting rock formations (andesitic brecia, I looked it up). Paddled 12.5km from the boat ramp out to Pekapeka Bay and back. Water was clear. I'll bring snorkeling gear next time.

Looking across the water to some tree covered hills and a blue sky w puffy cloud beyond. The hills have interesting rocky lumps.
