The same type of argument, designed to maintain #WhiteInnocence, was used to pass the 2022 #NationalityAndBordersAct in #UK which criminalises irregular arrivals. Apparently to save #AsylumSeekers from suffering we needed to 1)redefine them as criminals 2)imprison them, 3)send them to #Rwanda . Stranger than fiction.
