Flocking to Bluesky
Earlier today I logged off Threads. I never installed their app on my phone and kept my usage to the bare minimum (because, Meta). With Bluesky finally gaining traction, the difference between the two platforms is really striking.
No matter how I tried to tweak my feed, Threads would show a bizarre amount of clickbaity content that consistently outnumbered and overwhelmed updates from the people I actually follow. I definitely donโt need another place for endless, mindless scrolling.
Meanwhile, Iโm really happy about more and more people from the WordPress Community leaving twitter and flocking to Bluesky. Staying in the loop and keeping in touch with friends and people from the community was the main reason I suffered through twitter over the last years, until I left it for good earlier this month. Another good reason to move on and not look back.
Also, Iโm writing this post to test Autoblue, a new plugin created by Daniel Post, that automatically shares new posts to Bluesky.
