I write much of such Lashunta architectural features as ~Doaelauru~ - elfyards - and ~Doalzhyamu~ idleyards/pleasure gardens. These are concepts that help build a concept of Lashunta aesthetic harmony. Could this pic fit into one of those, maybe as a place where mindfulness is contemplated?

So bear with me just a little: with the man sitting, the scene gives the impression that he's a shorter and stouter Korasha, with the woman appearing relatively as a Damaya. He could be a retainer to her matron.

At a very high, but simplistic, level, I've painted Lashunta society within its history as evolving from queenship to a more republic-style government by matrons. Yet the truth is more manifold.
In the centuries and millennia over which this has developed, what about the tendency, as wealthy actors and special interests exert influence to garner support, for represetnative republics to grow more selective in their electoral entitlements? Voting, where it occurs, is most likely limited to Damaya females. Yet what other restrictions may exist? Furthermore, what restrictions may be applied to a Damaya seeking public office? Is there a wealth/property requirement? An ancestry or household affinity of sufficient rank that needs to be proven? More selectively, does the seated Matronhood decide who is worthy of being promoted into their body, at which point, does it become a formal oligarchy/aristrocracy?
There are a lot of Lashunta cities on Castrovel, and I have only scratched the surface. It may be interesting to start applying all these variations.

If your MC hasn’t committed a crime, what would motivate them to do so
Well they have, at occasions, it's important to say that different worlds have different laws.
The Union punishes unnecessary wealth accumulation harshly. Citizen have to spend their upper income limit excess in social endeavors for Union associated worlds or Rim worlds that strife to join the Union otherwise it's cut & confiscated.
On Eodin, Mondira Ramann's homeworld, capitalism still runs unshackled still even they have social systems & rules that are in place to keep peace & justice running, because nothing is more deadly to wanted to be called 'elites' as if the others feel trampled upon.
On some Rim worlds society is in the middle ages.
For all crew members it would be very easy to get in trouble with the law enforcement on such worlds. Which could make it really awkward for the Union.
For Kira & Arkham it's definitely unequal treatment.

What's the best thing about the world of your story?
Social peace & justice on the Union's core worlds.
"Radical" inclusion. It's completely okay who you are as long you don't hurt anyone without their consent or with ill intend. Modern buildings are barrier free for wheel chair users, blind, or any kind of people that would today be considered a subculture that faces incredible challenges, everyone trys to be as nice as it gets & the Union made empathy training one of their biggest goals. Politicans are chosen based on their skills, in addition people are randomly choosen to be part of the governmental body.
Capitalism got shackled.
Having to much money is punished by law & society.
People that stray against the fair society to often are set free outside the system or forced to repay what they took out of it.
Universal income & high base payments reduced the need to grind to live.

While we know what Fenella has done, because I talked about it last night, Alistair is a different story. Something that would push him to commit a “mortal” crime is an interesting idea and it’s probably someone hurting one of his servants, all of whom he’s close friends with. A crime in the eyes of immortals and breaking “vampiric” law, however, is something that he’s already done. Vampires aren’t allowed to be friends with werewolves, and he is. He’s close with not one but two werewolves, and nothing will ever change that for him.

I've always loved books (and some movies) that take real characters and transport them into fantasy worlds.
"The Sleeping Dragon" by Joel Rosenberg is one of my favorites.

Guess What Day It Is?
Lashunta Not-So-Sari Tuesday!
@creativegamingname I've been using Obsidian for my current #worldbuilding and I love it, but, really, the actual work and organization is no different than for prior books where I did it all in word processors, and that was really no different than my earliest books where I did it mostly in spiral notebooks.
Mainly my advice is to let the work itself guide you and don't become distracted picking at the tools when you could be building worlds. 😁
Hi,
There is something plaguing me and I am hopeful you can help. I am fairly decent at organization (files, people, etc.) but I am a little stuck and would like some advice.
I would like to world build. What I mean is, I have an idea, a concept/etc. almost fully fleshed out in my head. I have most of the concept down (Races, Classes, POIs, etc.) or at least the concepts of them... and I would like to write them down.
I have Obsidian, I know waterfall/agile concepts, I have kanbans, repos. I'm just not sure if there is a good way to put it all together or lay it down? Is there a better tool or concept I should apply?
At them moment here is what I'm thinking (In Obsidian):
World/
|- Points of Interest/
| |- Towns/
| | |- Town1
| | |- Town2
| |- Dungeons/
| |- Dungeon1
| |- Dungeon2
|- Races/
| |- Each Race
|- People of Interest
| |- Politics
| |- Villians
| |- Heroes
|- Monsters & Mundane creatures/
Or something similar? Inside each file could be the useful pieces of meta-data? So that, POIs would list notable NPCs and locations, whereas Races would mention known histories, etc.
Am I going about this wrong or stupidly? Is this a good method or way of thinking about these things? I would really appreciate anyone who is familiar to hit me up.
