So I rebuilt my home-lab VM hosts from ESXi to XCP-ng and, as part of that, cut down the absurd number of VMs I was running. I eliminated legacy VMs. I consolidated. I was ruthless!
But then I discovered how easy it is to use XCP-ng templates and cloud-init to blast VMs into existence... 😆 #xcp_ng #HomeLab
I think XCP-ng may be my new landing place after VMWare. It's awesome!
I wrote up a post on my microserver build using XCP-ng, and use of Network Bound Disk Encryption to keep the VM storage volumes encrypted.
Pour vos containers #docker de votre #homeserver, vous êtes plutôt ? 👇
Anyone ever used #TrueNAS_Core or #xcp_ng as #hypervisor ?
How well are they working for hosting VMs?
