Himachal News: हिमाचल में मणिमहेश यात्रा के लिए होली-कलाह से डल झील तक लंगर समितियों से ट्रस्ट फीस नहीं ली जाएगी। मंगलवार को मणिमहेश मंदिर न्यास की बैठक में यह फैसला लिया गया। सैनिटेशन फीस भी माफ होगी। यह कदम श्रद्धालुओं को बेहतर सुविधाएं देने और लंगर समितियों को प्रोत्साहित करने के लिए है। यात्रा 16 अगस्त से शुरू होगी। इस रास्ते पर यात्रियों की संख्या लगातार बढ़ रही है।
लंगर समितियों को राहत
मणिमहेश यात्रा के होली-कलाह ट्रैक पर लंगर समितियों को फी माफी से राहत मिलेगी। यह निर्णय अधिक समितियों को आकर्षित करेगा। स्थानीय ग्रामीण और समितियां 15 किमी के इस रास्ते पर ठहरने और भोजन की व्यवस्था करती हैं। पिछले साल भी कुछ लंगर समितियों ने सेवा दी थी। न्यूज के अनुसार, इस साल भारी संख्या में श्रद्धालु पहुंच सकते हैं। प्रशासन सुविधाएं बढ़ाने में जुटा है।
यात्रियों की बढ़ती संख्या
होली-कलाह से मणिमहेश यात्रा करने वाले श्रद्धालुओं की संख्या हर साल बढ़ रही है। व्यवस्थाएं कम पड़ने लगी हैं। जन्माष्टमी से राधाष्टमी तक चलने वाली यह यात्रा 15 किमी की है। स्थानीय समितियों ने सुविधाओं की मांग की थी। हिमाचल यूथ कांग्रेस ने भी शिमला में मांगपत्र सौंपा। चंबा प्रशासन की ओर से व्यवस्थाएं बेहतर करने के प्रयास हो रहे हैं। यह फैसला यात्रा को प्रोत्साहित करेगा।
प्रशासन की तैयारियां
एडीएम कुलवीर सिंह राणा ने कहा कि होली-कलाह ट्रैक पर सुविधाएं बढ़ाई जा रही हैं। मणिमहेश यात्रा के लिए लंगर समितियों से फी नहीं ली जाएगी। प्रशासन और मणिमहेश मंदिर न्यास यात्रियों के लिए बेहतर इंतजाम कर रहे हैं। स्थानीय समितियों की मांग पर ध्यान दिया गया। यह निर्णय क्षेत्र को बढ़ावा देगा। श्रद्धालु अब अधिक उत्साह के साथ इस पवित्र यात्रा पर निकल सकेंगे।

Temple of the Fuzz Witch – Apotheosis Review

There’s perhaps no better moniker that these Detroit natives could have chosen. Temple of the Fuzz Witch embodies a green fuzz that saturates all the negative spaces, tinged with a ritualistic and sinister occult edge. Apotheosis embodies a culmination, a godlike apex as the name suggests, of the act’s history, megaton riffage greeting dark atmospheres and a thick veil of smoke, although their third full-length finds the trio embracing a distinctly vicious edge. Does Apotheosis make Temple of the Fuzz Witch the divine success to which they strive?
The act’s history is one associated with Sleep worship. Fuzzy riffs, croons thick with weed, and mammoth drums did little to distinguish from the masses, and their moniker became a comical reflection of the music contained within. Both Temple of the Fuzz Witch’s 2017 self-titled debut and 2020 follow-up Red Tide followed this Black Sabbath but haze-filled, orange amp- and MountainKing Megalith-fueled weight. This is where Apotheosis succeeds: acknowledging the past while moving forward. While the weight and guitar tone is unmistakably stoner doom, you’ll find more in common with older Yatra or Thou’s storied catalog than the High on Fires and Electric Wizards of the world. Ultimately, this sets Temple of the Fuzz Witch a cut above many, as its fusion of devastating riffage and blackened bleakness hits the sweet spot.
Simplicity is the name of the game here, so if it’s riffs you want, Apotheosis will mightily satisfy, alongside an absolutely mammoth production that emphasizes them. Tracks like opener “A Call to Prey,” “Nephilim,” and “Bow Down” are oozing with charisma and swagger in each movement, Temple of the Fuzz Witch’s relatively simple structures benefiting from a southern-fried bluesy drawl. Vocals are used in perhaps a jarring way, as the blackened snarl of vocalist Noah Bruner feels nearly sermonic, while his Kurt Cobain-esque drawling cleans offer a tired apathy in tracks like “Wight” and “Nephilim.” There’s just enough experimentation to keep things from drowning in the indicia, with tracks like “Wight,” “Raze,” and “Apostate” embracing a more simmering approach that revels in the darkness, while the slow-burning crescendo of “Sanguine” pays off in a satisfying punky climax, the thrash-induced closing passage of “Nephilim” serves as a welcome jolt of energy, and the clean leads in “Cursed” offer a heart rarely seen. As aforementioned, Temple of the Fuzz Witch utilizes a “Stoner Doom for Dummies” guitar tone that feels nearly perfect in its utter fuzz saturation of all spaces in Apotheosis, even compared to the trio’s past offerings.
The weaknesses of Apotheosis are often the other side of what makes it so good. For instance, while a simple structure benefits “A Call to Prey,” excessive repetition of the same riff dooms “Cursed;” clean vocals add to “Bow Down” but end up taking away momentum from “Raze.” “Raze” also raises an odd conundrum, as it eventually gains its speed, but Temple of the Fuzz Witch’s suddenly disharmonic melodic template is repeated in its following two tracks: the ritualistic “Apostate” and dense doom closer “Ashes.” While certainly well executed, this sudden falloff in riffage for slow-burning menace is jarring, and recalls more the sludge stylings of Thou. Tempos largely remain mid-tempo, with injections of speed scattered throughout, which make these tracks, as well as “Sanguine,” stick out. The inclusion of black metal vocals and atmosphere is effective, but is nothing new, as acts like Yatra, Mizmor, and Cobalt have fused dense doom with second-wave stylings.
Overall, Temple of the Fuzz Witch hits the sweet spot of megaton riffs, blackened snarls, and just enough experimentation to keep things interesting. It does not promise to be the newest and best, but Apotheosis manages to get your head bobbing in the right spots and freeze your soul with a blast of second-wave. While it can be jarring here and there in some wobbly songwriting or awkward song placement, there’s only one track (“Cursed”) that visibly detracts from the whole. As such, while Temple of the Fuzz Witch may not do much to challenge the scene and their best is still before them, Apotheosis occupies a neat spot between kickassery and frigidity that will satisfy.

Amarnath in the times of article 370
Even after thinking about doing something daily, one ends up doing it, achieving it, finishing it only in the head. In the head is good, as it creates enough compound interest in head but it is not good enough.
I have had ups and downs, and have been away from home for some time. I was in Kashmir when article 370 was taken off. I was one of the last person to have trekked the majestic Amarnath ji this year. Without any plan or any inclination to have wanted to do it but surrendering to flow of life is such it takes you along on the paths, and you would enjoy. I fell in love with the harmony of the few people who walked along, some saints barefoot, and two without a leg who finished approximately sixty kilometres in as many days as I did. Food, sweets, tea, love and the name of shiva.
But the feeling was erratic even then. Tents, people were leaving a month before. And many had already left. The way was completely empty of any pilgrim coming from the other side. Probably that also made it count. It was quiet and you walked with your own self, slowly, quietly.
Phone lines and internet was called off a day after I arrived back home in Srinagar. I couldn’t get time to make any arrangements of leaving as it had become intense to stay over. It was a very vulnerable time in the valley and who knows what is going on even now. It took me nine more days to come out of the valley. I found a punjabi driver from Jammu early in the morning almost ready to leave. It was a beautiful morning over Dal. You could see clouds gathering over the ancient waters and over the Mahadev hill. The way back was as tense. We were stopped numerous times even before Banihal came, because on the other side, you would not imagine how many trucks, cadres, were filling in the valley. Testing time for a government who had just arrived three weeks ago and even before anyone could have blinked on something as mammoth an article as 370, which had probably made Kashmiri’s, laddakhis, Pandits, Punjabis as special and as vulnerable of their identity for all these decades after independence.
I had worked myself as a researcher and teacher in the border villages, in the most gruesome winters and thus have an idea of how the minds of local authorities work in contention and sometimes not in harmony with the army. How people can never almost challenge the claims and information that these authorities gather.
Things are bound to change.
I am sitting in a mud room in the outskirts of Laddakh. Writing after so long on my blog even though I wrote it daily in my head. I hope I present myself daily. Because this blog is not for me. This is for you. And if you are reading this right now, you may let me know.
Two weeks have passed. Two weeks are to come. The nights have become colder. Laddakh has been very kind. It’s the land of awakening. I came here in 2007 on my bike when rivers still went through roads. And somebody then had told me the full form of Leh that I took seriously then but I have never forgotten it. Life Ends Here. Or it starts again.
I am working on my first photo book here. On the work that I did in Cambodia. I will share more news soon but before all that comes out, I will be hitting the road again. May be to Zanskar, or may be to meet my children again to the village I taught 8 years ago.
