Despite the pandemic, exports from the textile sector increased.Exports of the textile sector in Peru showed growth in 2022, but between August and September, textile and clothing exporters increased to lose the growth rate. For now, the sector is not very optimistic for this year due to both external and internal factors.An important external factor was the restriction of consumer goods in the United States, a measure taken by the North American country to control inflation in that country. The United States is the main market for shipments of the textile sector in Peru.
